As an average Mexican, I strongly recommend this place located in Downey. The other Barca around are not well established. Price is reasonable.

My husband and I had dinner on 8.22.22. He had the asada plate and I the traditional flautas plate and it was soooooo good, authentic taste. We tasted two types of salsa both not spicy just perfect. I would definitely come back and totally recommend.
The food is ???? great. The ambiance is nice. Can get loud. We went at dinner time. The place was nearly at capacity. The server was real slow. Slow to take the order, the food came fast after the order. The server was slow to check on everything. Never refilled chips or drinks. But the food was out of this world. The Chile Rellenos were the second best I ever had (the best were in Tampa at a Cuban restaurant) Mrs. P. Had the Birrira Burito. The sauces were great, the beans were salty but excellent.
La Barca Restaurants is well known and has become a chain. Yet the quality and service are fantastic... each location has its plus and negatives. All in all you get a great representation of Mexican food, in some great live music. This location is new and very spacious place to have a great time with family and friends ????
The food was really good, the ambiance was amazing, clean, modern, inviting. The staff were friendly, attentive and fast. A+ experience. We are definitely coming back again.
Every time I come in, my family and I always have a great experience. Today was no different, my mom and I came in and were served by a lovely girl named Marianne, really sweet girl and she was really helpful when taking our order!

This place is good, I ordered a Carne Asada and I thought it was good. My only complaint is that the Carne was too chewy like a gummy. Anyways the service was good and the music in the background felt a true Mexican Restaurant!
